Renoir joined together, on the terrace of the Inn of the Father Furnace, all his friends and models to take part in this largeuvre. In the foreground, on the left, Aline plays with her puppy. Behind it Alphonse Founaise, the owner of the inn is held. Accoudée in rambarde, Alphonsine Furnace, his/her daughter, listens to the Baron Raoul sitted Barbier turned back. In the foreground, on the right, the painter Gustave Caillebotte is sitting astride on a chair which listens to the actress Ellen Andrée discreetly while the Italian journalist Maggiolo leans on it.
